London-based illustrator and designer Laura was inspired by the design of the traditional German art of Scherenschnitte, which is a kind of intricate cut paper design. She based this design on floral folk art, using the cut-away pieces to leave a connecting, detailed pattern behind. Laura also likes the idea of connecting urban and nature, and this watch depicts how she feels connected to the world around her. As you examine the pattern, take the time to also examine the finer parts of your own life. Don't miss the small and subtle - they are what make the big picture interesting and full.
